ToggleWhat are the best worlds in Remnant 2?
After living in Remnant: From the Ashes‘s post-apocalyptic world, it’s not surprising that your fight wasn’t over yet. In Remnant 2, you are still fighting against Root, but you might be the key to stopping this enemy for good.
During your trip through the game, you will come across a number of interesting, sometimes random, but always dangerous places. There are a lot of different tasks and ways to play in these worlds, but which one is the best to spend time in? The ones with tasks that aren’t too hard or too easy, good loot, and well-designed enemies?
The Labyrinth

The Labyrinth is one of the only non-random worlds in the game. Its name is fitting, since its walls seem to go on forever. The Labyrinth is kind of like a doorway. If you try to go from one world to another, you will end up here. It used to be nice, well-kept, and almost peaceful. Now, it’s falling apart, which might make traveling a bit more difficult than you’d like.
This world is an interesting addition that makes traveling between worlds feel more important, but you’ll often be afraid to go there. When you first get to this area, you might think it’s fun to walk along the twisting paths and fight against the constructions in a stand-your-ground style.
When you meet the Labyrinth Sentinel, all of that changes. Everyone who was talking about “that cube” before you now knows what they were talking about. It’s an interesting idea for a world and a boss, but most of the time it just makes things hard.
Ward 13

The center of your fight against Root is in Ward 13. Even though it doesn’t have as much to give as other worlds, it’s still interesting. It’s a lot like the Destiny books The Tower and The Farm. It’s a meeting place, a place to trade and talk to NPCs, and a place to go when you want to take a break.
It can be a lot of fun to run around this area and get used to the world of Remnant 2. If you look closely, you might even find some secrets. Besides that, there isn’t much else to do here. Despite the fact that there shouldn’t be. You have to go there and fight for what’s right. It works as a hub world, but there’s not much to do here besides make a pit stop every now and then.
N’Erud

N’Erud is a world from the future that looks like a set but is actually a huge machine that moves across the universe. This world is big and can be scary at times, but usually in a good way. Come here if you want to see the sci-fi side of the game. You’ll get cool tools like The Atom Smasher and fight robots and parasites, among other bad guys.
Still, it all seems strangely out of place. After seeing what other places have to offer, it doesn’t really measure up. More could have been done to connect the science fiction parts of this world to those of other worlds, or vice versa. It’s a good idea, but it doesn’t go as far as it could.
Yaesha

Many of the other worlds in Remnant 2 are very different from Yaesha, which is green and almost thriving. Most of the light is blocked by the thick canopy of trees above, and plants are eating up ruins left and right. It’s a place where nature is in charge. At least most of the time now, because Root’s grasp is so strong. It’s fun to see the part of the game that is more fantasy-like.
Here, you’ll use homemade crossbows and swords to fight mushroom-covered beasts while wearing armor made of twisted roots and leaves. It’s a fun place to be, but most of the time it feels more like a special side quest than a real part of Penalty Kick Online.
Losomn

Losomn is where the worlds of the Fae and the Dran meet. It is a place with fire, chaos, and most importantly, dangerous enemies. The world has a dark and gloomy gothic feel, but the game manages to pull it off without being too much. There are sometimes pretty tough enemies here, but not so many that it gets too hard to deal with.
The idea of this world is really driven home by things like The Grime Crawler and weapons like The Bone Chopper or The Double-Barrel. All you can think about while you’re here is how much Root has done to ruin everything and how much you want to stop him.
Root Earth

Root Earth is the place to go if you want to see what Root can do to a world. You won’t have much of a choice because your trip will end there. The world is empty and sad. Root is everywhere, and it often feels like you can’t get away from it.
The end of the second book in this series takes place in such a fun, if not scary, place. It makes sense to see what you’re up against in its most basic form. When you’re a single Traveler going off against such a powerful enemy, it can be almost scary, which is exactly what you’d want from a world like this. Even the way this game builds its world prepares you for the inevitable end boss fight, which is impressive.
