An on the web petition has been released on the net-centered petition aggregator, change.org.
The petition was resolved to the International Felony Courtroom to arraign Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, around his crimes towards humanity.
The petition, which has garnered 7, 013 signatories as of the time of submitting this report, is titled, “Petition To The ICC To Arraign Muhammadu Buhari for Crimes Versus Humanity”.
The petition was initiated by Reno Omokri, a former Exclusive Assistant to Nigeria’s previous President, Goodluck Jonathan.
It reads, “On Oct 20, 2020, the Buhari administration murdered several harmless, unarmed, tranquil #EndSARS protesters at the Lekki Toll Gate in a massacre that has given that been dubbed #LekkiMassacre.

On Monday, the Lagos Point out judicial panel on Specific Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS)-similar abuses submitted its report to the state authorities.
The findings of the panel, set up to look into the capturing of peaceful protesters at the Lekki tollgate in Lagos for the duration of the demonstrations in opposition to law enforcement brutality in October 2020, had confirmed in its report that at the very least nine persons died.
